Lesley was the perfect friend – always ready to listen; to offer an ear or some advice; to share secrets or a joke; to make you smile when you were feeling low. She was there for me in my lowest times and there for me in my joyous times. I am so proud to have known her and her family and will miss her every day. I look forward to the day we will meet again for a generous helping of gin with a splash of tonic!

We’ve met with Lesley and her delightful family only three times, but that’s all it took to know that all the good things below must be true. The lively, loving spirit that she shared with Graham and which they have passed on to Jeremy and Edward continues to bless us all – even half a world away!

Louise Waspe

A good friend, mentor, counsellor and my role model – she had so many good qualities that I admired. She had such a down to earth no nonsense approach to life and could always put my silly worries into perspective. She was such an optimistic person and so positive and always came up with ideas and solutions to problems. She embraced challenges and learnt from the experience as the word failure did not exist in her vocabulary. She was loyal, trustworthy and good company. People gravitated towards her as she made you feel special by showing her interest in you. Like the venture scout she was always well prepared both personally and professionally. She disliked shirkers and false people who tried to pull the wool over her eyes. Fiercely independent (even to the end) and so proud of her family. I loved her laugh and that lovely Leo mane of red hair. Lesley’s legacy is that she made such a positive impact on people and made a positive difference to our lives. It was truly an honour and privilege to have known her.

Such a sunny personality, full of fun and with a heart of gold, fiercely loyal to her family and friends Lesley is with us in spirit. I will miss her smiles and laughter and most of all her friendship. My heart goes out to Graham and the boys at this very difficult time.
All my love Annexxxxx

You were one of life’s special people, always so kind, generous and so courageous. That lovely smile and the happiness that you gave to everyone lucky enough to have known you will live with us forever.
